East Tennessee Clinical Research (ETCR), near Rockwood, TN, is seeking an Attending Veterinarian / Director of Animal Care to oversee the veterinary care and health maintenance of dogs, cats, horses and cattle enrolled in pharmaceutical research studies. The incumbent delivers primary and preventive veterinary care, participates in clinical research studies, manages and trains technical and husbandry staff, and ensures compliance with applicable Animal Welfare regulations. Clinical duties include, but are not limited to, physical examinations, collection of biological samples, diagnostic procedures (e.g., ultrasound, gastroscopy), treatment of naturally-occurring disease or injury in study animals, administration of test or control products, and attendance at euthanasia and necropsy of study animals. The daily and weekly schedule is flexible, but some after-hour attendance will be required by study activities (e.g., timed sample collection).
