Minimum 3 years’ experience D.V.M.(s) with strong interest in practice ownership after estimated 3 to 4 years as a well-paid associate(s). I will then finance the practice purchase at very favorable terms.
This is a great opportunity for a D.V.M. couple or D.V.M./Spouse Manager.
I have a 3 D.V.M. Dog/Cat practice in Coastal Florida; established 17 years. This practice is very well equipped with full Idexx lab; Siemens Acuson ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac capabilities; Sedecal DR digital x-ray; Avimark (since 1991) software; Two Class 4 Lasers (Companion and K-laser); Piezo wave Machine; Digatherm Thermal Imaging; Flexible and Rigid endoscopy; Universal 1000 dental station; video otoscopes in each exam room; 3 video microscopes; 24 computers (10 workstations); large exam room monitors for x-ray and video microscope demonstrations; Canis Major electric lift exam tables with scales in each exam room; Blue tooth patient monitors as well as standard multi-parameter monitors; fully adjustable surgical table; two isoflurane anesthesia machines with ventilators; a well-stocked surgery and much more.
I am in my late 60’s (very healthy) and looking to a future exit plan.
My pitch: I will pay well for the right D.V.M.(s) who can and will take the reins to learn and perform owner duties such as: providing excellent veterinary medicine and surgery, getting involved in the community, networking, providing exceptional client service, evaluating marketing, staff management, etc. and importantly have the ability to motivate clients to repeat visits requesting you as their preferred doctor. Contributing to practice growth is vital. Independence of practice style within acceptable parameters of veterinary medicine is encouraged.
At the end of an agreed upon period (one year minimum) we will negotiate how to proceed to accomplish the goals of future practice transition; having a more complete understanding of the practice workings and profitability and each parties’ style and needs.
Some of my thoughts at this time are:
Business mentoring is included. This practice is successful and needs to remain that way.
I plan to be available for many years, if desired, to fill in and provide specialized services.
A motivated D.V.M. can assume ownership; make purchase payments and still make a top tier income. After a few years with proper practice nurturing the income should be impressive.
This needs to be a Win-Win for both parties.
My practice location is in a medium size affluent growing community; 2 miles from major beaches. Lifestyle and recreation are superb. This community is a wonderful place to live. My clients are typically affluent and desire high end medical/surgical care which makes the practice much more rewarding and interesting than most.
Florida has licensing by endorsement with three years active practice.
