About Humane Association of Warren County
The Humane Association is the only animal shelter and adoption center in Warren County. We are a non-profit 501 (c) (3) animal welfare organization that takes in approximately 3000 animals per year. These animals may be surrenders, homeless abused, or neglected, and most need some sort of medical attention. Our organization has been in the business of saving homeless pets for 46 years and still going strong. Our policy for any animal being adopted is that they be fixed, vaccinated, de-wormed, tested for FIV/FLV or Heartworms, and microchipped. Our facility is 22,000 square feet that includes an education room, get acquainted rooms, outdoor patios, exam room, and a surgery suite. We have 92 dog kennels and 155 cat kennels, as well as outdoor exercise areas for both adoptable dogs and stray dogs too. We are considered an open admission shelter, and do not discriminate against age, behavior, injury or diseases. We pride ourselves in the implementation of counseling and enrichment to either keep an animal in the home or to keep it happy during it's stay with us.
