Northeast Veterinary Referral Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking an emergency clinician who is committed to our mission of providing the most advanced veterinary care for our patients while exemplifying integrity, compassion and responsibility. As an AAHA accredited referral and emergency practice, we reside in an area that offers many large city amenities, but in a small town atmosphere. We are now offering a new type of schedule – ER Flex - your key to maximizing your professional development and career satisfaction as an emergency clinician while building a fulfilling, eventful life outside of work. Our ER Flex clinicians will work a schedule of no more than 10 shifts per month for a salary of $140k (with optional production bonuses), $25k sign on/relocation allowance and full benefits. We want you to enjoy practicing high quality medicine - Diagnostic lab is fully stocked with 3 Idexx catalyst machines, Procyte CBC machine, Coagulation testing (PT/PTT), Urinalysis and Snap test reader | Equipped with an IDEXX SediVue Dx | Radiology suite with digital radiographs and a Philips HDX11 ultrasound machine that provides optimal imaging quality and has color flow and tissue Doppler capabilities | Digital endoscopy, and laparoscopic equipment | CT scanner with fluoroscopy to provide 3D images as another diagnostic option. We want you to build a rich life during your time off - Situated in northeast Pennsylvania, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area is served by a convenient international airport, and Philadelphia and New York City are both only two hours away by car. The Pocono Mountains provide the backdrop for skiing and limitless outdoor activities. Our area is home to the Pittsburgh Penguins’ farm team and the NY Yankees’ minor league team. We have two major concert venues. The educational needs of the area are met by a dozen colleges and universities including a medical school. Opportunities for shopping, fine dining and participation in cultural activities abound. Not based in the area and aren’t looking to relocate?
