Qualified candidates must:
Administering medication, collect blood, urine and tissue samples for testing, perform lab tests, exercising and grooming patients, restraining and handling patients during exams, x-rays, ultrasounds and other diagnostic procedures. Equine experience desired.
Clerical and administrative work, such as but not limited to; answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out and some front desk duties.
Consistently provides clients with attentive, courteous and informative services.
Communicate with the veterinarians and all other staff members to maintain the flow of patients.
Completing preparatory procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance, ensuring that clients and pets are comfortable in the hospital, and monitoring hospitalized or surgical pets.
Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain proper and complete medical charts.
Ensure the safety of pets, clients and associates by utilizing safe restraining techniques, following standard protocols, and maintaining clean, sterile and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
Willingness to work with others, collaborating and compromising where necessary; promptly share relevant information with others.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Availability for evening and weekend shifts (no overnights)
Able and willing to perform tasks and duties without supervision as appropriate.

The Pony Express Veterinary Hospital is an equine sports medicine and small animal practice located near Xenia, OH. We are a well-equipped practice with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and in-house clinical laboratory.
