Veterinarian in a Great Hospital
Kingsbrook Animal Hospital
Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is looking to add a doctor to its recently renovated and expanded, 8 doctor, 14 licensed technician, small animal/exotic, AAHA, privately owned hospital in Frederick, MD. Kingsbrook Animal Hospital has cool equipment, practices great medicine and surgery, and has excellent relations with area veterinary specialists. We have also developed a successful mentoring program—but anyone can do those things. What really sets us apart from other veterinary hospitals is our people. Our staff and clients are great! We have invested heavily in the development of our staff and they are incredibly involved in our success. Check out our Google and Yelp Reviews--they are all about our people. If you have not looked at our website, be sure to watch our video and hear what people say about our highly leveraged staff. Our clients are the best. They seek us out because they want the best for their pets. Many drive great distances (past many other veterinarians) to come to our hospital. Kingsbrook Animal Hospital is very involved in improving our community. Our website has information on our Vet Academy for school students, our benevolent fund called the Kylie and Cricket Memorial Fund, our Haunted Hospital, etc. We consider ourselves very good mentors. We have established a successful program to help new graduates and even experienced veterinarians polish their skills and develop the confidence needed for career advancement. No emergency duty. We are located close to and have good relationships with many specialists and referral centers. Other benefits including Health, Life and Disability Insurance; 401 K Retirement Plan; Continuing Education, Licensing, and Memberships/Dues. We are original members of the Well Managed Practice Groups with Denise Tumblin and Cynthia Wutchiett of WTA Veterinary Consultants. This has helped us be better at running a business and we look forward to sharing what we know with our associate veterinarians, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes we did! You will frequently see our doctors quoted and our hospital cited in Veterinary Economic's yearly BenchMark Studies. In addition to attending national meetings, we conduct extensive in-hospital educational programs for our full staff. We regularly close our hospital to host a variety of mentors to develop our team to help them be the best they can be. For example: Dr. Jane Shaw, Associate Professor of Veterinary Communication of Colorado State University and an expert in veterinarian-client-patient interactions regularly visits our hospital to develop our staff’s communication skills. Dr. Cindy Charlier AVDC, of Veterinary Dental Education regularly visits to expand our dentistry skills. Other guests in recent years have included Ken Martin, ACVB, for Fear Fear techniques, Rebecca Johnson, DACVAA, to help us advance the tailoring of anesthetic protocols to each patient, and Andy Roark of the Uncharted Veterinary Conference to help our team develop their ability to work together as a team that actually enjoys their jobs. You must have a sense of humor--or at least a good smile! And must be able to say, "Good Morning" and mean it. It doesn’t hurt if you are smart as well! We are only 45 minutes from Washington DC and an easy drive to the beach or the mountains. Frederick has a cool downtown with unique shops and trendy restaurants (for example: Volt, The Tasting Room and the Black Hog) as well as classics (The Dutch’s Daughter--best crab cakes anywhere!). If you are looking to practice high-quality medicine in a general practice setting, this is the place for you. We look forward to learning from you while helping you become the best veterinarian you can be. References from area specialists, business associates and our current staff are available upon request. For more information, give us a call or email. Brent Cook, DVM 301 631 6900
