Who: Tail Waggers 1990 is an established 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to serving pet owners in the Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston & Washtenaw County areas. Our Wellness Center, located in Livonia, Michigan, treats canine and feline patients. The established clientele and mission of Tail Waggers offers basic wellness packages to folks of all income levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for caring for animals as well as enjoy working with a diverse populous. This fast-paced clinic has a team of experienced technicians and assistants to ensure each visit is as efficient and thorough as possible. Our mission: Tail Waggers 1990’s ultimate goal is to support dedicated pet owners who are in need of assistance along with providing necessary referrals for those animals in emergency situations. Our wellness center has been dedicated and focused on meeting the community needs through initiatives such as pet food assistance, referrals to affordable spay/neuter clinics, and providing programs for affordable vaccinations. What: Tail Waggers 1990 is currently seeking a licensed veterinarian with experience working with feline and canine patients. This position is responsible for the following:

Performing wellness checks including eye, ear, and skin diagnostics

Vaccinations and vaccination management

Heartworm and/or feline leukemia combo testing

Provide excellent customer service to all clients

Prescribe medications as necessary

Flea/tick prevention medication consults and more

Veterinarians are expected to maintain compliance with federal, state, and county regulatory agencies as it relates to professional medical and animal services

Other duties as assigned

This position offers virtually unlimited flexibility. This position can be part-time or full-time depending on desired hours. Expected pay is negotiable but ranges from $65-$90 per hour depending on experience and availability. Our fast paced, growing clinic would be ideal for a newly licensed vet looking to establish a clientele and/or a retired veterinarian.
