Progressive, expanding non-profit practice in Jacksonville, FL has an immediate opening for a full time veterinarian who is eager to apply his/her skills and experience to a rapidly expanding, regional, mission driven organization that is committed to reducing shelter deaths and improving the lives of people and pets. First Coast No More Homeless Pets is a recognized leader in offering affordable, accessible veterinary care to all our neighbors.
FCNMHP has excellent growth opportunities and matches an industry standard high quality, high volume atmosphere with a wide variety of medical cases. The veterinary clinic is full service and equipped with digital x-ray, in house lab, fast scan ultrasound, and state of the art equipment. A dynamic international staff of over 15 licensed veterinarians offers mentorship potential and a collaborative work environment. Our support staff includes an average of 3 technicians per DVM and they are there to facilitate a more efficient flow for doctors by performing standard technician duties along with managing the computer system to start records and creating estimates, reading minor in house diagnostics (skin/ears), writing in your prescriptions and many common client communications. You will always be on your shift with a minimum of one to three other veterinarians for a more collaborative day and positive experience.

The ideal candidate must be able to multi task in a fast paced environment, and have a positive, professional team-oriented attitude. Excellent client communication and quality of medicine is required. The team is supported by a veteran medical director who led training and internship programs for a large non-profit hospital associated with a national animal welfare organization and a team of committed professionals who are dedicated to a collegial and collaborative approach.
