Our practice, Equine Athlete Veterinary Services, is a multi-state, multi-location practice serving high-level show and competition horses in the United States. This position will be filled by an internship graduate or practitioner with 2-4 years of experience. It is a 2-year position working directly with Dr. Krystle O’Cull, rapidly gaining extensive experience in lameness diagnosis, imaging, and therapeutics, in preparation for the independent management of client accounts as an Associate.
This fellowship will be with our West Coast division based out of Southern California, with travel every other week to Scottsdale, AZ and horse shows across the country. The position is all ambulatory and centered around the management of today’s equine athlete. One of the strengths of this program is a high level of mentorship and hands-on experience. Many of our patients stay in our care for decades; the opportunity to closely follow these athletes, from their response to treatment to their recovery from injuries, presents a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with case management. Our goal for this position is integration into the practice as a long-term member of our West Coast Team (either CA or AZ locations).
As a company, we invest a lot of time, effort, and resources into our clients and horses in our care. We understand the time and dedication it requires from each individual to establish a successful team, and we strive to provide a rewarding experience for everyone who shares our commitment. Not all days are easy, but we work hard to get through the challenging days together.
Graduate of internship program or practitioner with 2-4 years experience. Job requires travel.
