Corporate veterinary medicine not exactly what you signed up for?!  We are a growing, local independent 7 Doctor AAHA veterinary hospital recently voted 1st Place - Veterinary Hospital in the Omaha Metro 2021 & 2022 (The Omaha World Herald Choice Awards). 

At The Pet Clinic we strive to provide fear free, compassionate, collaborative, expert veterinary medicine for our patients and clients. We do not love drama so drama kings or queens need not apply. We work hard on building our strong team and Pet Clinic culture! Work/Life balance is NOT a cute catch phrase -- we take it quite seriously and work it into our Doctor's schedules.  Each of our Doctors has a different and unique schedule that fits her/his life while also balancing the needs of the practice.  Another example -- we build in a 1 hour lunch each day as well as a 1 hour treatment block which can be utilized for phone calls, emails, medical case research, etc.  If you would rather not have that extra 1 hour treatment block, we can adjust that as well. 

Sounds great but how do you handle emergencies?  Glad you asked!  We see emergencies during our regular office hours, and we refer to Urgent Pet Care outside those hours. Urgent Pet Care is right down the street just 5 minutes away.  We have a great relationship with the Urgent Pet Care Team, and this really helps to support that work/life balance! 

Our Doctors love to discuss cases with each other - this leads to better medicine, better outcomes, and continual learning. So if you are not a fan of collaborating with your colleagues, we are not for you. We have an excellent team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Service Coordinators with low turnover and high experience levels. We feature assigned teams, and we are big believers in having enough of these talented individuals to help you be effective, efficient, and deliver the best care possible.  We have leading edge technology - brand new Sound digital X-ray, brand new Sound/GE Ultrasound, surgical laser, new IDEXX in house Lab, Antech external Lab with 2x a day pick up and unique, customized panels for our patients.  We are proud to be AAHA certified - only 15% of hospitals achieve this designation.
