Equine Veterinary Position, Western WA
Foothills Veterinary Hospital
FVH is seeking a full time equine veterinary associated to join our practice. We are not corporate, and our priorities are based on family values, respect for our clients and their horses.
We’re looking for:
Experienced practitioner who would like a mixture of ambulatory and haul-in opportunities.
Newer grad that we will offer an onboarding and mentorship program.
The Pro Sal method of payment rewards effort. Our current veterinary associate has far exceeded her base salary every month (6-figure annual) and the opportunity to develop a large equine base will reward the same way.
Our equine facilities include:
Indoor exam area with stocks, pharmacy, office. Heated and air conditioned. 12 X 12 stalls
Large indoor arena for lameness exams
Multiple stalls and paddocks
70 x 140 enclosed covered arena
Haul in facility advantages:
Safer for vet to work on horse in controlled environment, vs in a pasture or in a poorly lit barn.
Environmentally controlled working conditions.
More profitable, better use of time to have horses come to you vs you driving to them.
Veterinary practice support includes: Equine DR unit, ultrasound, digital dental radiography, extensively used cold laser, Idexx in house diagnostics, experienced support staff, planned purchase of an Equinosis Lameness Locator.
Requirements: DVM and Equine Handling Experience (IF you have a horse, we will board it for you)
We schedule 4 days on and 3 days off
