Norton Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking an associate veterinarian. Dr. Elizabeth Logan is a 1993 graduate of The Ohio State University and is the sole owner of this long-established, small animal practice in Galloway, Ohio, a suburb that weaves through Columbus. The practice also specializes in exotic care (previous experience is not required). We are dedicated to our wonderful loyal clientele; we practice high-quality medicine and surgery in a beautiful, comfortable setting with a fantastic, highly knowledgeable support team, several of whom have been with us for more than two decades.

Here’s the good stuff:
Non-corporate. Dr. Logan is the only owner and manages the practice; there is no outside corporate entity that controls any aspect of the practice.
No on-call or after-hours emergencies. Multiple ER facilities in the area including The Ohio State University.
4-day work week. We are open seven days a week. Weekends are negotiable.
We observe (are closed and paid) for the 6 major holidays.

We do not accept walk-ins unless they are in extreme distress; but we do accept same-day urgent/emergent fit-ins, when possible, after consulting with the receiving DVM. We try to be there for our established clients in their time of need if possible.
Potential for buy-in.
We currently have three surgery days per week for scheduled elective client surgery.
We have four RVTs, four tech assistants, 8 veterinary assistants, two managers, four CSRs, and a groomer. We work with The Ohio State Veterinary School’s 4th-year vet students during their clerkships as well as Columbus State Community College Technician program.
We use Covetrus Pulse operating system which is user-friendly and paper-light.
Our practice utilizes “fear-free” handling techniques. Keeping our patients as calm and trustful is a high priority. We use food rewards and exercise less stressful restraint techniques. Medication is used for patients that need more assistance.
We have five exam rooms. And we have a full-service grooming salon inside the clinic. We use only PureVax vaccines for cats, and Zoetis vaccines for dogs; we tailor preventive care to our clients’ lifestyle with their pets.
We have all the usual bells and whistles: digital radiology, digital dental radiology, all the monitoring equipment (Dopplers, pulse oximeters, ECG, etc.). We have a full diagnostic lab with Idexx in-house equipment, Butterfly ultrasound, and TonoVet. We have two treatment tables in a spacious open floor plan treatment room. We have a Midmark Dental Unit for our dentals. We have a spacious surgical suite with a separate room for scrubbing and gowning; we use Bair Huggers, IV fluid warmers.
The most important characteristics we are seeking in an associate include good communication skills, a sense of humor, empathy, an understanding and appreciation of the human-animal bond, and the importance of developing and maintaining relationships with clients and the support team.
FT associate veterinarian needed to join the team at a busy, multi-doctor, privately owned, small animal hospital in Galloway, a rapidly growing suburb of Columbus, Ohio. Our hospital is open 7 days a week and cares for cats, dogs, rabbits, reptiles, and other exotics. Experience with exotics is not required. The applicant must be a team player and enjoy working in a family type of atmosphere. Our animal hospital has a state-of-the-art digital x-ray system as well as a digital dental x-ray system, in-house lab equipment, laser therapy, Tonopen, an isolation ward, and a surgery suite.
