If you are looking for an ideal place to live and work, consider a position with Cambria Veterinary Care located in west central PA. We are a rapidly growing small and exotic animal practice with the most recent expansion into large animal medicine. We are seeking a motivated full or part-time associate veterinarian to join our friendly and experienced professional staff.
Our newly renovated hospital is in the heart of the cultural district of Johnstown, 60 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA. Our team currently consists of four veterinarians, two licensed veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, receptionists, an office manager and a hospital manager. With in-house laboratory, ultrasound, radiology and surgical facilities, we provide complete care for a variety of small animals including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets. With the addition of a new large animal campus and mobile unit, we intend to provide complete care for a variety of large animals including beef and dairy herds, swine, equine, poultry, and more in a food animal medicine shortage area. Currently, approximately 20% of our patients are exotic animals. As the preeminent exotic practice in the area, there is substantial opportunity to grow the exotic practice.
The city of Johnstown offers outstanding outdoor recreation including hiking, kayaking, biking, hunting, and skiing; a wide array of cultural activities including ballet, symphony, and museums; state-of-the-art medical and educational facilities; and college and semi-pro sports. The low cost of living, proximity to Pittsburgh, and Pennsylvania’s spectacular Laurel Highlands make Johnstown an ideal place to live and raise a family.
We offer a competitive salary plus a generous production bonus and benefits package including liability, health, vision and dental insurance, 401K and profit-sharing plan, paid time off, and paid CE and licensure. We hope you will give us the opportunity to meet with you and discuss all we have to offer.

Cambria Veterinary Care was established by Johanna Vena, VMD in October of 2013. What started out as a workforce of six has now grown to nearly 30 employees. With our newly renovated and well equipped facility nestled into the mountains of the Laurel Highlands, we are one of the few veterinary hospitals in our region that offers exotic and avian pet services. This along with our small animal care and recent expansion into large animal medicine brings in a diversified clientele from surrounding counties and states. Our future is bright with a planned development of facility, workforce, and patients.
