The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining and treating animals, diagnosing illnesses and injuries, providing guidance and advice to pet owners, and performing surgeries. This is a full-time position located in Burlington, Iowa. The Associate Veterinarian will work closely with our team to ensure the highest level of care for our clients' pets. This position is open to those with experience as well as new graduates.

Qualifications

• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Ability to handle and restrain animals
• Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare
• Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution
• Valid Iowa state veterinary license, or the ability to obtain one
• Must be able to joke around and laugh- this career field is tough enough laughter makes it a bit easier
• Sometimes we hide in corners to scare the Practice Owner- this isn't a requirement, but if you are up for the challenge, it's a definite plus
• Must like/appreciate "dad" jokes
