Angels of Assisi is a well-established non-profit organization located in downtown Roanoke, VA. We are seeking a Veterinarian to move into our new facility with us, and bring compassion and expertise to our community pet clinic. Services include a spay/neuter program, soft tissue surgery, wellness and sick animal clinic, dental program, shelter animal care, farm animal sanctuary, and mobile clinics/community outreach.

Our belief is that the future of animal shelters is a place of resources and programs to help people keep their pets, and we work with owners to make that happen.

Partnerships include the HSUS, ASPCA, Bissell Pet Foundation, and statewide animal control agencies, and we average 1500 adoptions per year.

A work - life balance culture and mentorship for new staff are top priorities, and each Veterinarian has a team of experienced assistants. Our clinic has state-of-the-art equipment including a dental station, digital x-ray, ultrasound, CT, and in-house lab to help make informed decisions for plans of treatment. All of these are offered at affordable prices, so clients have the resources to carry out the plan. 

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, or equivalent, from an accredited university

Licensure in good standing

Strong medical and soft tissue surgical skills, with ultrasound skills a plus

Self-motivated, team-oriented, compassionate individual

Positively represent the hospital to our clients and community
