We are looking for a part-time/full-time candidate to work as a veterinary assistant/vet tech. We welcome veterinary students to work through the school year gaining experience as well.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Provides compassionate patient care.
- Assist Veterinarian in patient care and medical treatment including but not limited to: medication administration, vaccine administration, acquiring laboratory samples, processing in-house and reference lab samples, surgical preparation, and hospitalized patient care.
- Assists veterinarian in surgery.
- Recognizes patients with contagious disease and follows relevant procedures.
- Provides safe and effective patient restraint.
- Alerts the veterinarian to changes in patients’ condition.
- Uses proper safety techniques and positioning for radiological procedures with veterinarian.
- Assists with and documents patient treatments.
- Walks, cleans, and feeds patients.
- Assists with patient admits and releases as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of drugs and their uses.
- Fill prescriptions
- Check in clients, take medical history and complete medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Answer telephones and make appointments as needed
