With two dedicated doctors, we prioritize your growth through personalized mentorship and support, always asking, "How can we help?"

Gain valuable veterinary experience with us! Work along side our trained veterinary support staff and take part in both day to day and emergency small and large animal medical and surgical cases.  We will strive to provide mentorship and continual teaching opportunities while you are here for your 1, 2 or 4 week externship! LAMC boasts a modern small and large animal facility, equipped with Idexx in-house labwork, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and a dental x-ray unit. As the 6th highest county for beef production in Colorado, our impact extends far beyond our clinic walls.

In addition to your externship, take time to observe life in a small town. Lamar welcomes you with open arms, offering a myriad of seasonal sports teams, outdoor water recreation, and vibrant community events.

A $500 per week stipend will be provided along with housing.
