Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Texas
Professional appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with team members
Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets
Commitment to practicing the highest standard of veterinary medicine and upholding ethics
Proficiency in surgery is a plus
Responsibilities:
The Veterinarian will develop a rapport with clients, determine their needs and wishes, and perform physical examinations, diagnostics, medical, surgical, and dental procedures to deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort. Responsibilities include explaining physical examination findings, communicating diagnoses, generating treatment plans, educating clients on preventative health care, and maintaining client/patient records. The role also involves staying updated with veterinary medical advancements, attending Continuing Education (CE) meetings, assisting in the development of the paraprofessional team, and positively representing the hospital to the professional community and the public.
Compensation and Benefits:
The Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients while developing rapport with their owners. In addition to physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, client communication and education are of the utmost importance. SVP Veterinarians treat each pet and client like part of the family.
Compensation:
Competitive salary range of $110,000-$150,000 per year with an average production percentage of 20-22%.
Veterinarians always earn their base salary and never owe money at the end of the year.
