Terrific Veterinary Surgeon position with the Animal Medical Center of Mid-America in the St. Louis area. The positions will cater to the public and their shelter animals, offering a wide variety of veterinary services. They are open to full-time or part-time, as well as candidates that need to relocate. Their compensation includes uncapped commissions.
Responsibilities:
Provide timely and professional veterinary services
Manage a caseload of daily procedures including high volume spay and neuters, as well as other soft tissue and orthopedic procedures
Collaborate with other clinicians, surgeons, and staff members
Direct staff members providing assistance with procedures
Handle procedures for direct clients and for HSMO animals prior to adoptions
Assist in mentoring other surgeons and students during surgical rotations
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university is required
MO veterinary license and DEA controlled substances license in good standing, or eligible to obtain
Approximately 7-10+ years of experience, open to candidates that are coming out of a residency
Track record of revenue generation in a clinical setting
Respect for clients and their pets
Experience with eVet or similar software
Ability to make decisions and direct staff as needed
Uphold the veterinary code of ethics
Maintain collaboration with other clinicians and staff
