Position Title: Adjunct Faculty, Veterinary Technology

Location: Miami Dade College, Medical Campus

Miami Dade College’s School of Health Sciences is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Adjunct Faculty member in Veterinary Technology to join our team at the Medical Campus. Position Overview

• The Adjunct Instructor will provide high-quality instruction in Veterinary Technology through lectures, laboratory, and/or clinical settings. The ideal candidate is a dedicated educator who thrives on mentoring students, advancing veterinary education, and contributing to program excellence.
• Duties and Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction in Veterinary Technology courses across lecture, lab, and clinical environments
• Develop and update course curricula, instructional materials, and assessments to align with current industry standards
• Advise, mentor, and evaluate students to promote academic and professional success
• Support student recruitment and retention initiatives within the program
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to maintain accreditation standards and program quality
• Participate in departmental meetings and college committees as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in any field and Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from an American Veterinary Medical Association Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (AVMA CVTEA) accredited program
• Licensure/Certification: Current Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) credential from the AAVSB or State of Florida Veterinary Technician Licensure
• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional and/or instructional experience in the veterinary field

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff in a diverse academic community
• Flexibility to teach evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to travel between campuses, clinical sites, and partner locations
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and online instructional tools
