Located in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in Hilliard, Ohio, Columbus Humane cares for more than 8,000 animals annually across 49 species and serves as the law enforcement agency responsible for investigating animal cruelty in Franklin County. The organization also operates the groundbreaking Essential Care Center in Columbus, Ohio, expanding access to affordable veterinary care and pet support services for underserved communities.
Through a longstanding partnership with The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Columbus Humane plays a leading role in veterinary education by mentoring and training future veterinarians in shelter and community medicine.
