The roots of our practice go back to 1970 when Dr. Douglas Coatney started a veterinary clinic in the Centerville area shortly after graduating from The Ohio State Veterinary Medical School. Dr. Emily Coatney-Smith joined the practice in June 1995 and Dr. Adam Coatney-Schuler joined the practice in June 2003.
Since his retirement in 2010, his daughter Dr. Emily Coatney-Smith (1995) and son Dr. Adam Coatney-Schuler (2003) have owned and run Far Hills Animal Clinic. Along with Dr. Emily's son, Dr. Tyler Smith (2024) and associate veterinarian Dr. Lesley, they continue the tradition of excellence while embracing modern advancements in veterinary care.
