Veterinary Assistant (Veterinary Student Position – Summer + School Year Opportunity)
Muirfield Animal Hospital is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic veterinary student to join our team as a Veterinary Assistant for the summer, with the opportunity to continue working during the school year. This position is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on, real-world clinical experience in a supportive, collaborative environment. We are passionate about teaching and truly enjoy mentoring veterinary students who are curious, driven, and excited to learn.
What You’ll Do: • Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care • Supporting anesthesia monitoring and surgical procedures • Preparing patients for surgery and treatments • Client communication and reception duties • Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient hospital environment This role offers broad exposure to both medical and client-facing responsibilities, helping you build confidence and clinical skills.
